Notes and Domino 8.0.2 FP1 now available on Fix Central

Chad Scott |   | Comments (4)  |  Visits (910)
Notes/Domino 8.0.2 FP1 is now available on Fix Central. This is the first fix pack ever offered for the Notes client. You can read the details here. Note that in addition to the dozens of fixes, there is one configuration change: Streaming Cluster Replication is now re-enabled by default. This was disabled in 8.0.2 due to some bugs that caused it not to work well, but those have since been fixed.

Chad, thanks for the info! Yesterday I was going to get CCH3 and noticed an option for 8.0.2.1. I figured something was going on... :)

I just went to Fix Central and can see the Domino software available but Notes isn't showing up yet.

Also, what about the fixes available in CCH3 that are not in 8.0.2.1? Looks like a fairly detailed list - thanks IBM! Now I need to scour through it some more.

Chris,

The Notes software part numbers are C1WS3EN (Linux) and C1WS2EN (Windows), if you want to search by that. I don't see a Mac version available, so I'm not sure if FP1 is available for Mac. I'm checking on why there is a set of SPRs in CCH3 that are not in FP1.

@2 - The word I got is that some fixes in CCH3 went in after code freeze for FP1. I'm going to forward the feedback to Development to see if we can ensure that all previously released fixes are included in future fix packs.

Thanks for the part numbers!! Interestingly, the C1WS1EN is showing up for download at FixCentral. However, this is the FP installer for BASIC. I'm really not keen on seeing different FP installers for Standard and Basic, but I'm sure there was a valid reason for it. :)

I was able to find C1WS2EN at Passport Advantage.
